Just wondering. I know we all need to pay $1.75 to avail of its full services but that measly amount can't keep such a large site up and running... so does anyone know how PayPal makes its money? Maybe we can learn from it :)

hi there, paypal makes money just like any other bank account..for free accounts(non-verified) it makes money by storing their money till the time they withdraw it and paypal keeps it in their bank..and from verified members it also earns by charging fee on transactions..Quote:

Dear friend, Paypal is just like a online Bank, they earn commission from every transaction. As you know Paypal is most secure online processor in the world, they make huge money every day as commission.
paypal accepts a very high fees for each transaction that you do and that is how paypal earns a lot from this.
whats more if one person buy product online with a credit card then the receiver should pay some fee to be able to receive the money.
