Sometimes dreamweaver becomes difficult for me to edit a webpage, as the font size or colour has not come properly what I want, at least in IE. Probably I have to learn it more to master this s/w.

Actually, it is even enough if you have just Dreamweaver for creating static website and for editing pictures and all, you may have Photoshop and other than this one, you cna have Flash or creating dynamic websites

One should have following software for every web designers.
1- Any HTML editor or you can design websites in simple Notepad also
2-Adobe Photoshop CS3 Or CS4
3-Adobe Image Ready
4-Adobe Flash 8 Or Later Versions.
These above softwares are mandatory for every developer or a designer.

Yes, Adobe Image Ready is used to create animated images, but this will not be as smooth as you get the result in Flash for sure

Hello Lemon!
First of all sacrifice softwares!! Learn basics first! Learn HTML and then xHTML!
Then learn Ajax!
Stick to any 1 technology and be master in that! For e.g. i have chosen ASP.NET 3.5 and i am with it! From early days of .net like from 2002 i am developing on this platform and believe me it rocks!
