well they haven't done it till now , so i don't think they will do it this time , the problem was only with server crash so there is less possibility to accounts being compromised.

Well the servers can be crashed by hackers too. Extra load or requests on the server causes it to crash.

The servers crash is due to the DDOS attack that launched by either commonor or also hackers. Some people try to make a site down with their DDOS attack knowledge, just for fun and not necessary to hack the account.

Well once the server is set up then there are very little chances of the server getting an internal error. Since LR was working fine before chances of DDoS attacks have a greater probability.

I think what the internal errors that poor mentioned here, is the server hardware or network errors, like those hard disk failure, or network swithches damaged that will also causing a server to be inaccessible.

Yes that can be a reason but then those would not hack the accounts which has been a recent issue of Liberty Reserve. And in the event of such failures the site would be down for quite some time and not be coming up and going down frequently.

Did LR announced that their system being hacked? i didn't notices there are such info on their site and blog. Anyway, for the LR site frequently down, there are many reason, and i think the main reason would be they doing upgrade test and under DDOS attack. By the way, hardware failure won't take long time to recover too.

Well usually payment processors do not reveal or disclose any information about they getting hacked. It's a blackspot for their reputation.

Ya, i agree if they announced it, then their reputation will surely hurt. Since there is no way to know whether they really being hacked or not, then i think those rumours must be started by somebody, when one person say this out, then everybody will follow to spread the news.

Yes that's true but sometimes the information gets leaked from an inside source and then the news spreads like fire.

It's up and down as usual, Now, I just hope LR support would read our complainsts about it's frequent downtime, so they may improve their services, otherwise they will lose their popularity. In every forums, I can see complainsts against them.

The strange things is even there are many people complains but still they are still a lot of users rely on LR with most of their funds. Even LR continues their up and down time, people still like to use it.. funny..

I also wonder why people are so attracted to LR even with so many problem they have. They just made a place in people's mind i guess. I don't Like LR at all but have no choice but to use it.
