When is paypal birthday ?

Well this question came up like this, few day it was 9 th birthday of google. So i seemed to ask a question of Paypal. I guess it is not more than 7 years old. Any one knows the exact answer.

PayPal is the result of a March 2000 merger between Confinity and X.com.
but according to documents it is legally born on 1998 and in 2002 it was purchased by e-bay

its written under the copyrights of paypal "1999-2007 paypal.All reights reserved" so may be they originated in 1999..according to that it was 8th anniversary of paypal this year..so just a year younger than google

..i don't know the exact "day" of their launch though

i have no idea when paypal have started. since i am not really aware of paypal before when i have not yet joined any get paid to sites.

This is really great to know. I was thinking about the very old years but this is so new.. just 3-4 years back only. This is great. So much progress done in few years.
