After trying out different online money making programs for quite a few years, there's always a place for AdSense. Newbs starting out, and pros alike are currently earning with Adsense.
The transparency offered by AdSense can be seldom matched by any other online money making tool. Simply register an AdSense account and get third party ads posted on your blog or site or webpage. Optimize your page, draw more traffic and generate more income from the PPC ads on your site.
However, I regard Adsense as the newbs way into Internet Marketing, even though there are some people making thousands from it (mostly by blackhat means).
Whether you put the adsense ads on a paid platform or free, your focus should always remain on drawing more and more organic traffic for your site. Use different tools and software to draw organic traffic.
Of course, it would be a bonus if people visit your site everyday to check for updates but to make money from AdSense, you need to draw unique traffic from search engines on a regular basis. You can even buy traffic from various vendors and that traffic can help generate revenue from your ads.
Making your site user friendly (click-friendly) is important.
