can you tell me an auction site which is other than Ebay

I have been looking for another auction store to use other than Ebay. I am just looking for a different site to try out, not necessarily to sell but to buy some items that are hard to find - like old things of computer and the old books. Is there another popular auction site that a lot of people use?
