I have lots of domains, not all of them are linked to websites, some are just used as forwarders to other sites, I have let quite a few of them expire lately, as the fees do start to rack up after a while.

Many I have bought for projects that haven't really taken off, also some are impulse buys, I think "that sounds cool, I'll see if it's available to register"
