if this is true i wonder why some of you forced to use vcc to verify their paypal account.
In India, the public sector banks would not issue a credit card to anyone without a proof of a permanent job or a steady income. But the pvt sector banks could issue a credit card to a self employed person, without a steady flow of income. One Pvt bank has offered me to keep Rs. 25 th as fixed deposit and get a CC within 7 days.
Well, public sector bank can have this type of rules with some limitation too, the credit limit for those cedit card is very low, furthermore if we couldn't settle payment within the limited time, they will discontinues the offer. Furthermore, some of it is having quite high annual fees for the credit card.
Y but generally salary slip is required for getting a credit card.So it is better to have salary slip than to do a fixed deposit.

Well I do not think so. If your salary is very high then that might do but otherwise you have to provide them a lot of details such showing property on your name and all.

I don't think that documents are required for credit card.Just a address proof with a bank salary slip will be sufficient if you are opening a new account and if you already have a account then you will require salary slip only and nothing else.

I live in the Philippines and I have verified my Paypal using a visa debit card which I have obtained through my local bank and so if you can't get a credit card then get a debit card instead. There are some websites which offer international debit cards too.

Also, I don't recommend using VCCs, coz when PP found you then they may terminate your account.

Not at all, I said I have verified my account using visa debit card and I live in the Philippines.

If you have doubts, you can check it on paypal and you will see the Philippines is on the list, together with other countries.

Yeah, it is, you may see "Send. Receive. Withdraw to a Local or U.S. Bank Account or a card." and those countries mark with a (+) sign can use credit, debit, or prepaid card.

Plus, that debit card which my bank offers has only a minimal annual fees. Well, then I'm really lucky!!!

It is allowed in some countries but in most of the countries credit card is required i guess because of security reasons they changed from debit card to credit card.

As it's stated, debit cards with either a Visa or MasterCard logo can be accepted by PayPal. But it also depends in which country you live. You can check PayPal's terms first.

I have a visa debit card, which is never allowed for verification process in Paypal and so, it is sure that Paypal does allow verification only through credit card for us
