    well, may I know what do you plan with that free hosting?
    if you want to make reliable site, then you should use paid hosting.
    But it's okay if you just want to create a blog

    well i don't think you are right about free hosting.Many free host are good and also many are offering features similar to paid hosting.I have run my forum on free host for 1year without any problem and i just shifted it as i was in need of much more space say 60gb.

    No doubt that you will laugh, but I need one free host with zend optimizer for running a e-currency exchange website. I want to take exchange fees as low as possible. So, I don't have plan to spend money on hosting and others.

    The another factor is my capital is not big.

    WEll i dont think any free host offer any zend optimiser as thisone is a paid feature and you can not expect from it too much.I have used so many free hosts and i don't think you will get such a hosting.Better you should use some cheap host with 1$ as min per month.

    @bdsurf,
    I'm not sure what is zend optimizer support but definitely I haven't heard this word in any free or paid host. In paid host, at least you can expect something, but definitely I doubt if you get this feature in free host.
    As far as I know, the highest space and bandwith provider in the free plan is fusedtree.com . You can visit their forum and ask the question to the admin if they are providing cgi bin and that zend optimizer support.

    I know we must upgrade to use mysql database in 110mb.com so I would say it's a paid host, not a free host, coz for every thing we need to have a database including for wordpress.

    I only know of freehostia which offer Zend Optimizer, but it does allow only 1 MySQL Database, 250 MB Disk Space and 6 GB Monthly Traffic for the free plan. Though they offer some upgrade plans for $2.95 per month.

    well if he wanted to upgrade then he would have chosen other sites where he can get everything unlimited at 3$.As per my suggestion i have a best plan for you.It is cheap one and good uptime.Go to www.3ix.com where you will get 50gb space and 100gb bandwidth for just 1$ per month.This will not cost you much plus you will get a very good config.

    I noted that most of the free hosts offer zend optimizer support including byethost but the problem is they don't support CGI script. Only PHP is supported. As far as I know, hardly any host support CGI.

    Well, for my understanding CGI sripts is also part of the PHP scripts, just the different is PHP running on APache mode which is load faster, and CGI run on process, which slower but more secured. If a hosting site support PHP, they should have support PHP-CGI scritpts.

    I feel you are wrong, because CGI is related to Perl script. If any host supports Perl script means, it supports CGI as well. These days php is supported by almost all hosts, it does not mean it supports CGI as well if I'm not wrong.

    well what i feel one should not expect so much things from a free hosting free hosting just gives you scope to test some script but not zend optimisied script and so many database support,better go for paid hosting.

    CGI is not design and used only for Perl scripts. A CGI program is any program designed to accept and return data that conforms to the CGI specification. The program could be written in any programming language, including C, Perl, Java, PHP or Visual Basic.

    It means now you are looking for Perl-CGI, rather than CGI hosting support only.
