How to split avi video files into different smaller size?

Friends, I have some avi videos of more than 700 MB files, but in get paid to upload sites, they don't accept files more than 400 MB. So I wonder how to split my vidoe and upload it successfuly. First of all, is it possible to split our 700 MB videos into 2 or 3 parts and upload? Do you have any solution? Hope I get some good replies.

Friend, please don't tell me to zip it, because I want some other solutions.

well lemon dont worry either you use vcd cutter to split the video and save separately with different names or use any video editor like ulead,movie maker or any thing to cut manually.

Many video editing software can do this, if you put a keyword video splitter in google search, a bunch of software name will appear for you. You can try some software like xilisoft vidoecutter, mpegsplitter and many others.

well i think vcdcutter is a commonly used software and yes any vido editing software can do this but as every body can't use it vcd cutter is abetter option and try

Thanks to all of you for nice reply. Similarly, if I want to merge two or three video files together, can I do it with these sofwares? I'm gonna to download some of these softwares.

some of the comprehensive video editing software includes of video split and merge functions. If you want video merge software, you can try video joiner, video merger software, just put this name in google there will appear the download link.

that is really cool that we can find splitter online. i have not uploaded any video online. but i am interested too to earn form uploading also. i will remember to visit those sites to split a video into smaller files.

Thanks lemon well you should try to use any editing software like ulead media studio pro which supports most of the formats.

Well i think you should use the xilisoft video converter and cutter.Also can use other tools like lcg smartmovie converter and then upload it.I think you can also split the files into various part by winrar.Or use hjsplit.

well hjsplit is quite famous for cutting videos , so you can use it for cutting your videos , i have seen many people recommending to use it , so you may give it a try.
