well first of all its remote uploads and not desktop. Secondly I mostly upload from my computer, so i can't help you in this.

17 $ is really an appreciable amount of money. But in my opinion, it's a little bit frustrating to download 100 downloads and all.That's the only problem.

I think the file url is links that end in suffix like .mp3/ .jpg/ .rmvb/ .rar and so on, just like you add a file with .mp3 suffix to your blog as background music. Just my opinion.
