There is a big difference.
One is the Database and another a Database.

SQL is a Structured Query Language which is used in MySQL where MySQL is Database like Oracle. Actually We cannot compare both.

Thanks Tiger for the reply.I have asked this question in another webmaster forum but there one guy told me both are same but the difference is that their syntax are different.Mysql is a product and Sql is a is a Language.

You are Very correct. But I would like to add one more point in your like.. My SQL is a product but that is not the correct world. It is a Database when we talk it with SQL. Where SQL is just a language used.
