how to assign custom domain name to blogs?
I know usually we have blog names like this "mysitenamecom.blogspot.com" or "mysitename.wordpress.org". I wonder are there any way to make the URL shorter like "mysitename.com". Suppose if I buy new domain "mysitename.com", can I assign this domain name to my blog?

for wordpress, you can do this easily by choosing Fantastico De Luxe on cpanel, then select wordpress to install wordpress blog to your domain.
For blogger, I don't know how.

Well, do we get control panel to manage our blog posts in wordpress.org website? Or else, are you talking about the fantastico installer which we find in our host server control panel?

for blogger too you can add custom domain.
you just go through the settings tab and you will see a option from which you can use your own custom domain.
