According to this FAQ: https://helpdesk.alertpay.com/index....leid=154&nav=0 , we can only file a dispute up to 30 days after the transaction. Here, I quote:
Please note that you may only dispute a transaction up to 30 days after the date of the transaction.
But I am not sure if it is 30 days or 30 *business* days. It can make quite a lot of difference.

The process to get our money back is not fast. I filed the dispute around November 2008 and finally got my money back around January 2009 if I am not mistaken and there is no guarantee whatsoever that we will get our money back, but at least by having this option, we will have a chance to get it back, unlike some other e-currencies providers that do not want to be bothered by such a thing.
Well the best part is atleast alertpay is refunding or helping in a good way ,that proves a site's genuineness .Generally in case of refunding where we leave the hope so when we get it is just like a bonus.

Our case in alertpay was unsuccessful. We were informed that the account of the person who tricked us is empty. Alertpay did try but still paypal would have done much better.
