    Ya i know if you list your site then you will also get a back link from their site also.and if you post 100 links in their directory they will list your one main site in yahoo search engine and will place your site link in their directory for life time in featured link section.which is very unique and the no of visit they get your site will get that no. of hits.this is the main feature of a site directory.

    I do not get it, I so how can I get backlink from this site? I just saw a directory, it does not mention anything about back link . Are you sure of your information

    here i want to make clear something to you, yes you are right that site is a directory site and another thing is what do you mean by backlink and from where one will get this backlink?

    Ans: backlink means getting a link back to your site or blog from another site or blog. it may be paid or free you may buy backlink from a high pr site or you can get free backlink from a site directory site they will add your site to their directory in appropriate section and category which will be help your site to get listed and get a good place in all renowned search engines and for this reason people search for backlink and directory submission.

    I think the above answer will help you to differentiate between backlink and directory still if you have any doubt then feel free to ask me,i will try my best to make you clear the concept again.
