In terms of the site, the domain was registered as IE7 was announced. Since then the site was parked. About 2 weeks ago the forum was put on the site.

Yes, $500 is a lot of money as a prize, but this would worth be around 1 month in advertisment.. and we would rather spend the money as a challenge where someone could win. (And of course, get more people to join in at the site)
