Well to find out whether a HYIP is legit or not you have to be patient and wait for the HYIP to get stable i.e pay its members regularly without any complains from any of the members.
You have to monitor them with a small test often and once you are confident enough you can make a large sum deposit

unfortunatly, its not easy like what you describe .
for example,minvestment was a well-known hyip paid members for years but in january 2008 it started scamming badly .
another exapmle for agrifund paid all and no one complained but recently it turned into scam .
those hyips were offering reasonable interests as 1%-2%per day and scammed all investors ..

Actually, its only depends on Luck .
