I was a member of a joint venture project of some Indian based internet guru who asked to signup for hostgator but later he had some tech dispute with them and so told all members to cancel their hosting with hostgator and told the members to choose some other webhosting which i dont exactly remember now. But as far as my knowledge is concerned hostgator is a trusted name on the net.
