ok so minimum payout is $50 this is really a big amount. I think think this is just wastage of time. But I think if you have some space then there is no harm on posting the banner on it. I am trying and also posted and displaying banner.

Good to see you have put the banner of hostgator, and I wish best of luck for you. Even two or three paid referrals will help you to reach the minimum payout. I suggest you to promote the banner in such forums or place where many new webmasters are there. You will get hardly any referrals from Paid to Post forum.ok so minimum payout is $50 this is really a big amount. I think think this is just wastage of time. Of course, now a days almost every day tons of new hosting sites are coming up and that makes the things complicated. It's not so easy to sell hosting these days. Anyway, as long as you don't waste any time or money in promoting the hostgator banners, it's worth to try. Even one customer in 5 or 6 months will be quite enough.

ya you are right but they have lots of rules they will ask you your postal address, pan card, some official details so i am telling we are the affiliates and we provide them clients and according to it they should pay us directly but the will tell you should wait fo 50 or 100 dollar then ask us for the official details so there is no meaning to it , we worked for them and they also give us money directly....

You are correct debasis, but I just visited the site, and there it is written they pay $20 for just sign up. I don't think it could be true. Actually, there is lack of full information how to earn money being affiliate from hostgator. That just creates a doubt if they will pay or not, though the site is famous among webmasters.

they have many hidden things they have written this but when you create a affiliate a\c with them and refer anybody to purchase any hosting package from them they will provide you only virtual money you can't use it or you can withdraw the money after getting the money they will tell you another thing i knew this because previously i made $ 30 but they told they will make payout when i will reach at $ 50 and they also told me to update many documents but which documents are not available in India so....I never like it.

Re: Affiliate with Hostgator
Hi you are partially right about the program that it sounds easy but in real its very difficult to earn money out of it. when anybody purchase any hosting then you will get only 10 % of every sale and you will get your payment when your account balance reached the minimum cash out limit called $ 50 to $100.

Well actually it is not difficult to promote hosting site also we can complete sale for hosting if we promote it correctly and that site should provide good support and good advertisement tools i have seen many peoples are only promoting hosting site referral link means they are earning well from it.

i wonder is that allowed if we register there and buy hosting under our own link? how much we can earn from the bonus then?
-

We can join under our affiliate link but we don't get any discount affiliate commission get credited to our account after we reach minimum payout we can withdraw it but for registration and new hosting account we need to pay full money but if we use promotional code we get around 20-50% bonus on purchasing products of hostgator.
