This question has been answered many times repeatedly by many persons in this forum..Any here it goes..

1. Update content in your website regularly.
2. Provide some free offers to your regular visitors to your website.
3. Promote your website in free classified websites and submit the same in the search engines after doing SEO...
4. Post your blog name in newsgroups and forums.

This will help you a lot in gathering traffic to your website to some extent.
