the basic requirement for business is to have enough money for starting a business. then you should have good business sense and also you should know how to handle the business.

Dear mustang, nice thread, need long discussion. basic requirement is some knowledge about internet. I think in India not more than 0.25 percent people are involved in online business. Many of Indian Bankers don't know about Paypal and Alertpay. We need some basic knowledge as below...

(1) Knowledge about online processor, eg Paypal, Alertpay, e-gold, LR etc.

(2) How make a blog or website.

(3) What is ppc, ppp, ppi etc.

(4) some knowledge about html.

(5) Join some social networking and forum for gain knowledge.

(6) Learn about e-commerce.

(7) What is online advertising.

and more and more....

if you are starting a business then you have to be prepared that you will be gaining a profit after a year or so.till then you must have patience.a good businessman thinks about the future and not about the present.keep this in mind.

What kind of business are you planning to put up? I guess the first thing you need is sufficient knowledge about the industry and how to run a business.
