I think many paid to post forums that award free (top level) domain for posting like hostbidder. There is also a free host which you can get free domain if your website design is good enough & at least already 1 month old. Try www.zymic.com. Plenty sites now offer lifetime free domain with purchase of hosting package.

Many sites provides you but certain limitations like your domain will be yourname.theirname.extension

I dont think we get the standard one for free.

mustang..its always better to have your own registered domain name for your own identity in world wide web..and to save money you can go for cheap domains..free domain names can become unstable later on leading to loss of your domain name forever if the company offering them closes!

i don't think any one will offer free domain to any one like the domains that we often see on the internet. what will be the benefit for them if they will give free domain.

There is one site which will give you free domain i.e. domain-4fee.com. In order to get a free domain from them, you need to have a well trafficked sites as they would place some ads in your site.
