Yes, actually both are same, blog address and our own domain address just different on the sublevel and toplevel domain name. We couldn't do much SEO things on blog address as this will only helping the toplevel domain either blogger or wordpress to get more traffics but not for our own blogs. The best way still go for our own domain to promote it through SEO.
