First of all let me know what are the SEO tools? Is there any particular process through which you (website) can reach to a number 1 position? If everybody is using this tool, who will take #1 position?

Thanks nick, very good site you post here, I don't know before any tools for SEO. I think only attractive keywords is the main thing for SEO.
Thanks for the postings. I have not visited this thread before so can't convey my thanks. I will visit the sites definitely and know the techniques of SEO, what we call tools.
I dont know how many of you use the Webmasters tools by google.
I have been using it these days and i find it really useful. It shows keyword queries for which your blog is being indexed in the searches at the same time tells you which keyword is working the best for you.
This way you can work on improving your blog or site with more of that keyword and stand more chances to get indexed :)
There are many tools are available for SEO, different tools has different roles in SEO for instance backlilnk builder,Alexa ranking many more. you should have idea to used it.

i am using them frequently these days because i am doing seo for the site of our boss.
but i have not found a good way to improve the level of the site now.

I think if you using any software google will think you are doing scam. If you want to make money you may use software. Software will make more money.
Webmaster tools offered by some search engines are good for use. Generally these tools help that where your links come from and what is your site's performance. These tools are not perfect as they do not show perfect results.
