List free host

yes w3schools.com is a good resource to learn basic html, javascript and all basics related to create a simple website. Even I've been learning basics from w3schools only.

Well I will recommend x10hosting.com as they are free and doesn't even place ads. They are fast and secured. hosting alot of sites now.
