There is a big difference.
One is the Database and another a Database.

SQL is a Structured Query Language which is used in MySQL where MySQL is Database like Oracle. Actually We cannot compare both. :)

You are Very correct. But I would like to add one more point in your like.. My SQL is a product but that is not the correct world. It is a Database when we talk it with SQL. Where SQL is just a language used.

Hi tiger i could not understand the line "One is the Database and another a Database."can u pl make me understand.

SQL mainly uses for retrieval of data and where as mysql is used as DB such as oracle, Sybase.
