Exact Difference Between Scam and Spam?

Anyone here can explain me the exact difference between scam and spam????

both of them are entirely different terms used in different contexts..

"scam" means a program which is "dishonest" and such programs never do what they promise..

while on the other hand, "spam" is relatively a milder term on dishonesty's scale and its related to the "unwanted emails or comments or posts" that we/anyone can get..hope things are clear now..

Thanks byyp for the explanation... though i knew the meaning of 'scam' i didn't know whats the exact meaning of 'spam'. I thought its related only to receiving unsolicited emails.

Thanks for the information byyp as i was little bit confused in using the terminologies at different contexts..

Even the experience people do get confused with that as there just one letter difference in that word between them!!!

You are correct Nick.. I too had the same confusion.. But byyp cleared doubts by exactly specifying the difference between the two...
