why is there so much difference in the values of different currencies. why the pound sterling has more value than dollar. does it reflects the economical strength of a country

i think that the difference in the values of different currencies is related to the economy of these countries but i dontwhat are the factors that are affecting the values of currencies of different countries

well at the moment the pound is the strongest but is on a slight downfall as well...the dollar and the euro are also strong...this thread would have made sense if u were asking about the online currencies and the exchange rates
