Well, personally, I don't like to buy domain name separately. I would rather buy such hosting plans where free domains are included in it. It will reduce our cost a lot.

Moreover, there is no need to worry about bad or good domain registrars, as if you buy with any registrars, ultimately the domain owner will be you only. Only you should be concerned about hosting companies, as it plays an important role for your website particularly in uptime.

I think you can try out namecheap.com which selling .com domain for $8.95, godaddy.com selling .com domain $9.99, Maddogdomain.com selling domain only $7.49. Personally I prefer goddady.com as they are more reliable and well known although the price for domain is a bit expensive.
