e-commerce website vs. starting a blog

Hello guys,

I have been looking around at several ideas for starting an e-commerce website vs. starting a blog and running some type of advertisement on it. I know this is a very general question, but which one do you think will require more time commitment to get going? It seems to be a blog will require less time and money but that might mean the return will be less.

Any thoughts?

the website is the best.if you think that the blog will cost less effort then the returns would also will be in the same way so go for the website.

yes that for sure. but better get off with a blog then establish websites

I think it's better if you're just make an ecommerce site.
Under ecommerce site, you can create blog too if you want.

that would be better if you have an experience to the blogs and blogging..

But build an ecommerce site is different than blogging.
On blogging, you can start to blog easily.
But to start ecommerce site, we need to install script and modify template.
It doesn't matter if you're expert on blog, you still need to learn to build ecommerce site.

Dear Meredith, own website is good for some affiliate and advertising. Google is also not allowed blog for google adsense. You need to make a website with good and useful content, and also need good traffic to your site for make money.

i am in favour of setting up a blog rather than ecommerce website.
in my point of view blog will be more profitable

Managing a E-commerce site is very difficult and it includes a bit risk factor.Managing a blogging site is easy but the owner and the blogger should be loyal to each other.

after messing around with blogs for a while. i'm being honest here, i did get to make some money with them but its nothing compared to my ecommerce site that i run now with the izzonet platform which i also highly suggest for people who are serious about making money and working with drop shippers ( my preferred way of working )

Why not have both? Create a website then make a blog where you can put a backlink to your website on.

Well what i would be suggesting for is to make a blog, as getting traffic with on a blog is up to no problem what so ever. Just integrate adsense with your blog ad go earning.
