In order to make a search more relevant to a user,search engines use a filter that removes the duplicate content pages from the search results, and the spam along with it..so if any website/blog is caught having duplicate content then it would be removed from the search pages permanently..so be careful guys and if you copy some text somewhere do include the reference link to avoid exclusion from search engines..google would soon be releasing its algorithm for duplicate web content..and i think its great if it gets launched coz everyday we dn know how many people just copy and paste the web content and paste that on their web sites or blogs.. wow thats really good to know. Google is coming up with lot of new algorithms that can help you stop plagarism.
Thats very good in one sense, they cant support lot of original content epecially copywrite free ones.

This would make the search engine spam free

There are basically 4 types of duplicat contents that are filtered out
1. Websites with Identical Pages
2. Distribution of Articles
3. E-Commerce Product Descriptions
4. Scraped Content

And Naturally to avoid your pages content being copied use copyscape url codes into your blog.

to be safe, just post or make content that you yourself have created. don't copy word by word in a book or in the internet. i think that wil be against the rules. though others do that and just put or state the source of the content. and they say it is just fine.
